As I am now producing LJF posters in a Saul Bass / Swiss style I decided to dig into the International Swiss style to find some designers of note. Armin Hofmann fits the bill with his stripped down limited colour and bold graphic shapes. I'm interested in my own designs being slightly ambiguous; suggesting elements of Jazz instruments. It's amazing to think that these were designed over 50 years ago. What's really impressive is that they were produced without the aid of a computer. The grid is going to be a good friend to me.
