Josef Müller-Brockmann was a Swiss graphic designer and teacher famed for his use of bold shapes and the grid system for page structure. I still find it hard to believe that these posters were produced without a computer. Old school + very impressive!
These following two posters are of particular interest to me as they are made from basic geometric shapes but could be seen as suggesting piano keys and an top-down view of a drum kit. Interesting. I really want to try and simplify down my own instrument designs to their purest form for the posters and promo material.
